Jerry was born and raised in Bluefield, West Virginia in a Presbyterian church. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and was employed with Norfolk Southern Railway for 32 years from which he is now retired. He and his wife, Ruth, have been married for 50 years and have been blessed with three sons, Jason, Nathan and Andrew. Jerry has been a member of CPC since 1987 and has served as a deacon in various capacities, particularly in accounting and finance, for 28 years.
John was born in South Carolina and raised in a Roman Catholic home. Moves with the Navy brought him to the northside of metro Atlanta in 1983. Almost immediately, he and his family joined Cherokee Presbyterian Church. John believes the local church should be the believer’s community of first resort. John and BettyJo live north of Canton, near the Lipham’s and Hanenburg’s. John worked for many years, in auto parts and service, and concrete construction. He was able, providentially, to return to school at fifty and and now practices bedside as a Registered Nurse at Emory University Hospital. He serves as an Election worker for Cherokee County. He and BettyJo enjoy time spent with adult children (five daughters), 9 grandsons, 4 granddaughters and and 4 greatgrands (three girls, one boy).
Travis Hanenburg teaches middle school Bible and history, as well as high school Ethics/Philosophy and Apologetics. He has been at CCS since 1998, serving in many different capacities. Originally from Minnesota, he graduated from Dordt College in 1995 with a degree in elementary education and coaching. His wife, Amy, homeschools their four children Alexis, Seth, Danielle, and Mackenzie. They attend Cherokee Presbyterian Church in Canton, where Travis serves as a deacon. In his spare time, he enjoys knife-making, handyman work, playing sports, and making music with his family.

Eric is a native of Atlanta, GA. He was raised in a Christian home and experienced God's grace from his earliest remembrance. As a teenager, Eric made a public profession of faith and joined the church, where he met his wife Sharon. They married while he was attending Georgia Tech, where he earned a degree in Computer Science. Eric and Sharon have three adult children. Eric enjoys spending time with family, visiting the gym, hiking and traveling.
Marvin is a native of Georgia, most of it in the Atlanta area. I came to faith in my early twenties. I was married to Susan for 27 years before she passed from breast cancer in 2007. She had two children Debbie and Kirk. I have four grandchildren. I have been at Cherokee Presbyterian for 10 yrs and a deacon for three.
Bill is a native of Georgia, raised in the methodist church and marriage his lovely wife, Debbie, in December of 1970. He served in the Navy and joined the PCA in 1987 in Jacksonville, FL. He has served bot as a Deacon and Elder.
