On October 1, 1529, Martin Luther and Ulrich Zwingli gathered, with their supporters, in the city of Marburg to bring unity to the Protestant Reformation, which would better protect it from Roman Catholic suppression.
Given that there is often a larger focus on the Protestant Reformation during the month of October, we have explored the topic of Calvin and psalm singing and the life of Guido de Bres.
To bring more attention to our Christian heritage, last week I mentioned that in the month of October we would explore various themes and people during the 17th and 18th centuries.
In Reformed circles, October is often designated as ‘Reformation month.’ Unquestionably, there is more focus on our Protestant heritage during these 31 days than at any other time during the year.
This coming Sunday represents one year for the Daniell family being at CPC.
